Pittsburgh Area Scanner Links
WPAScanner
http://www.wpascanner.com
This
site is my first stop when I want to find the
public safety frequencies for an area I'm not
familiar with. It usually features a frequeny
list, unit ID information, and occasionally even
a map for most public safety systems. Unfortunately,
data is sometimes outdated (or, in the case of
some commercial licenses, just unused), but WPAscanner
is still the best of the bunch for public safety
licenses.

Another
one of my favorite sites, mostly because what
sets K3FSS's site apart from the others is that
he verifies that all the frequencies on his site
are active. This is kind of obvious with public
safety frequencies, but when it comes to business
frequencies, it's really important - just because
a business is licensed for certain frequencies
doesn't mean that it's using them, but you can
trust that they're active if you see them on this
site.

A
cool message board meant to replace the PA section
of the old Fordyce.org message boards. Another
good place to look for frequencies or ask questions.

Accurate
and well-organized set of frequencies for WPA,
but it also covers northwest and south-central
PA.

nice list of local media frequencies. Also see
WPAscanner and K3FSS to make sure you're not missing
any.
